OUR DECLARATION OF FAITH

4 His Purpose Ministries International is a Christ-centered, Bible-based Christian church committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the authority of Holy Scripture, the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom through evangelism, discipleship, worship, fellowship, and compassionate service.

We embrace the historic, foundational doctrines of the Christian faith while remaining committed to spiritual renewal, biblical accountability, restoration, and unity within the Body of Christ.

We believe the Church exists to glorify God, proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, equip believers for faithful Christian living, and demonstrate His love throughout our communities and the world.

OUR FOUNDATIONAL CHRISTIAN BELIEFS

Our faith is established upon the following biblical convictions. These commitments guide our worship, teaching, discipleship, Christian fellowship, and service to others.

ARTICLE 01  —  The One True God

We believe in one eternal, sovereign, holy, loving, and all-powerful God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

We believe that God eternally exists as three distinct, coequal, and coeternal Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit—one God in three Persons, united in divine nature, glory, and purpose.

God is worthy of all worship, honor, obedience, and praise. His character is unchanging, His promises are faithful, and His authority is supreme.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1–3; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

ARTICLE 02  —  The Divine Inspiration and Authority of Scripture

We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the divinely inspired Word of God and the authoritative foundation for Christian belief, teaching, discipleship, and practice.

Scripture reveals God’s character, His redemptive plan through Jesus Christ, and His instruction for righteous living.

We believe biblical teaching must be approached with prayer, responsible interpretation, appropriate historical and literary context, and submission to the truth of God’s Word.

No human personality, ministry title, spiritual experience, prophetic declaration, tradition, or organizational authority supersedes the teachings of Scripture.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12.

ARTICLE 03  —  Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully divine and fully human, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.

We believe He lived a sinless life, revealed the Father, proclaimed the Kingdom of God, performed mighty works, and demonstrated perfect obedience to the will of God.

We believe Jesus willingly gave His life upon the cross as the atoning sacrifice for humanity’s sins, was buried, and bodily rose from the dead on the third day.

We believe He ascended into heaven, reigns as Lord, and serves as our Savior, Redeemer, and Mediator.

We affirm that salvation and reconciliation with God are made possible through Jesus Christ.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  John 1:1–14; Luke 1:26–35; John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Hebrews 4:15; Acts 4:12.

ARTICLE 04  —  Humanity’s Need for Redemption

We believe all human beings are created in the image of God and possess inherent dignity and worth.

We believe humanity has fallen into sin and that sin separates people from the holiness and fellowship of God.

Every person is in need of God’s mercy, forgiveness, and redemption.

We believe no amount of personal achievement, religious activity, spiritual gifting, ministry position, or good works can independently reconcile humanity to God.

Reconciliation is accomplished through the saving work of Jesus Christ.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–9.

ARTICLE 05  —  Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe salvation is the gracious gift of God, received through faith in Jesus Christ rather than earned through human works or religious performance.

Through Christ, those who believe are forgiven, reconciled to God, and brought into new spiritual life.

We believe genuine faith calls believers to repentance, obedience, and an ongoing process of spiritual transformation.

Salvation is not merely identification with a religious organization. It is a restored relationship with God through Jesus Christ that produces the fruit of a transformed life.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  John 3:16–17; Romans 10:9–10; Ephesians 2:8–10; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Titus 3:5.

ARTICLE 06  —  The Person and Ministry of the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and actively works in the lives of believers to convict, regenerate, sanctify, comfort, guide, teach, and empower them for Christian living and service.

We believe the Holy Spirit develops Christlike character and distributes spiritual gifts according to God’s will for the edification of the Church.

We affirm the biblical ministry of spiritual gifts, including prayer, encouragement, teaching, discernment, and prophetic ministry, exercised with humility, wisdom, scriptural accountability, and love.

We believe spiritual gifts are entrusted to believers for service, never as evidence of superiority or as permission to exercise unaccountable spiritual authority.

All spiritual claims and prophetic expressions must be tested in accordance with Scripture.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  John 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; 1 Corinthians 14:29; Galatians 5:22–23; 1 Thessalonians 5:20–21.

ARTICLE 07  —  The Church as the Body of Christ

We believe the universal Church consists of those who belong to Jesus Christ through faith and is expressed through local congregations united in worship, teaching, fellowship, and mission.

Jesus Christ alone is the supreme Head of His Church.

We believe every believer has value, spiritual responsibility, and a meaningful place within the Body of Christ.

The Church is called to be a spiritual family where believers are discipled, encouraged, equipped, corrected with love, and strengthened to fulfill God’s purposes.

We affirm the importance of Christian unity without requiring uniformity in every secondary tradition or practice.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 4:4–16; Colossians 1:18.

ARTICLE 08  —  Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe water baptism is a biblical practice established by Christ and observed by the Christian Church as a testimony of faith, identification with Jesus Christ, and participation in the community of believers.

We believe the Lord’s Supper, also called Communion, is a sacred remembrance of the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and a proclamation of His saving work until He returns.

Both practices direct believers toward Christ, spiritual reflection, and faithful Christian discipleship.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 6:3–4; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26.

ARTICLE 09  —  Biblical Leadership and Spiritual Accountability

We believe Christian leadership is a sacred responsibility entrusted for the service, protection, spiritual development, and equipping of God’s people.

Pastors, teachers, evangelists, and other ministry leaders are called to serve under the authority of Jesus Christ and in submission to biblical standards.

We believe spiritual leadership should demonstrate humility, integrity, sound doctrine, compassion, transparency, accountability, and Christlike character.

No leadership title, spiritual gift, prophetic office, or institutional position places an individual beyond biblical examination, correction, or appropriate accountability.

We reject spiritual intimidation, manipulation, exploitation, retaliation, and the misuse of Scripture or spiritual authority.

We affirm responsible processes for addressing misconduct, protecting vulnerable people, and pursuing restoration without compromising truth, justice, or safety.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  Mark 10:42–45; Ephesians 4:11–13; 1 Timothy 3:1–13; James 3:1; 1 Peter 5:2–4.

ARTICLE 10  —  Christian Holiness, Discipleship, and Purposeful Living

We believe every follower of Jesus Christ is called to pursue holiness, spiritual maturity, integrity, love, and obedience to God.

The Christian life is an ongoing journey of transformation through Scripture, prayer, worship, fellowship, and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.

We believe faith must be expressed through practical demonstrations of love, mercy, justice, compassion, generosity, and service to others.

Every believer is called to steward their gifts, opportunities, relationships, and resources responsibly for God’s glory.

We believe personal purpose is rightly understood through submission to Jesus Christ and participation in His mission.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  Romans 12:1–2; Galatians 5:22–25; Ephesians 2:10; Colossians 3:12–17; James 2:17.

ARTICLE 11  —  Reconciliation, Restoration, and Kingdom Unity

We believe God has entrusted the Church with the ministry of reconciliation through Jesus Christ.

We affirm that the Body of Christ is strengthened when believers and ministries cooperate in biblical truth, mutual respect, spiritual maturity, and responsible fellowship.

We believe spiritual restoration requires genuine repentance, truthfulness, accountability, and the pursuit of godly transformation.

Forgiveness and reconciliation should never be used to excuse wrongdoing, silence those who have been harmed, or bypass necessary safeguards.

We believe the Church must remain committed to biblical correction, compassionate care, the development of future leaders, and the restoration of healthy Christian fellowship.

Our commitment to renewal and reformation is not a rejection of historic Christianity but a call to greater faithfulness to Jesus Christ, the teachings of Scripture, and the mission of the Church.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  2 Corinthians 5:18–20; Galatians 6:1–2; Ephesians 4:1–6; Micah 6:8; Colossians 3:13–15.

ARTICLE 12  —  Evangelism, Discipleship, and the Great Commission

We believe Jesus Christ has commanded His Church to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples of all nations.

We affirm the responsibility of the Church to teach God’s Word faithfully, share the message of salvation, nurture Christian growth, care for those in need, and demonstrate Christ’s love throughout the world.

Our ministry embraces evangelism, prayer, biblical education, meaningful worship, intentional discipleship, community outreach, and faithful service as expressions of obedience to the Great Commission.

We believe the Church’s ultimate mission is not institutional recognition, personal advancement, or numerical achievement, but the glorification of God through lives transformed by the Gospel.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Matthew 5:14–16; 2 Timothy 2:2.

ARTICLE 13  —  The Return of Jesus Christ and Eternal Hope

We believe Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return in glory according to the promises of Scripture.

We affirm the future resurrection of the dead, God’s righteous judgment, and the fulfillment of His eternal purposes.

We believe eternal life is found in Jesus Christ and that God will ultimately establish the fullness of His Kingdom, bringing His redemptive purposes to completion in the new heaven and new earth.

This blessed hope encourages believers to remain faithful, watchful, compassionate, and steadfast in Christian service.

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION  John 14:1–3; Acts 1:9–11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20:11–15; Revelation 21:1–5.
